Getting Started

Download the latest release of Selv from our official website.

Selv is available on Windows and Linux.

Before creating your first server, make sure you have:

  • A computer capable of running Minecraft and hosting a server simultaneously.
  • A stable internet connection.
  • Enough available RAM and storage for your server and its datas.

Keep in mind that your servers run on your computer, and that it therefor needs to remain powered on for you and your friends to access the server.

Once Selv is installed, you can create your first server from the software.

  1. Open Selv
    Launch the application after installation.
  2. Log in or create an account for free.
  3. Start your server
Start the server once to generate its files.
You will be prompted to accept the Minecraft End-User License Agreement (EULA). Click “Accept” to agree with its terms.
  4. Configure your server
Adjust the available settings in the “configuration” tab to suit your needs.
  5. Make your server accessible online
In the “Connectivity” tab, turn on the remote connection and choose your IP adress. If it is available, click “confirm”.
  6. Restart the server
Go back to the “console” tab and restart your server to apply the modifications.

Once the server is running, you can share its connection address with your friends so they can join you.
